Explore the the Demographic Legacy of Southern State Soldiers

Have you ever wondered where soldiers were born?  What units they enlisted in? How many battles they fought in?  Where they lived after the war?

This book answers those questions among others for 8,500 Southern state soldiers from Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. It is the planned first part of a three part series which will explore similar details from soldiers of the middle and northern states.

I am currently researching the pension applications of the "Middle States" soldiers beginning with Delaware and Maryland. The goal is to have this done by the second quarter of 2027.
